Our Story

Founded in 2004, Leadership Western Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation that brings together leaders  from the corporate, not-for-profit and government sectors in a collaborative environment to inspire and enhance exemplary leadership.

Our objective is to build stronger communities through development of leadership capacities and collaborative social impact initiatives. Leadership WA recognises that leaders have the potential to make a real difference and our alumni set the standard. Every year, experts from a wide variety of professional disciplines donate their time to provide strategic advice and support to not-for-profit and community entities and projects across Western Australia. Leadership WA's alumni network is one of significant influence and determination to achieve a positive impact.

Leadership Western Australia is a peak body for community-focused leadership development in Western Australia that:

  • Holds diversity at the heart of everything they do
  • Connects community-minded people across sectors, ages, views and passions
  • Has its roots based in Western Australia with a global outlook
  • Has the inner drive and desire to make a difference to communities
  • Is curious and creative by nature.

Our Logo

After many years with the previous logo, that saw us through the establishment of our well-regarded Signature Leadership Program and expanding our programs and courses, we bid a fond farewell to our inaugural logo.

Our new logo represents our invigorated commitment to social impact. The white circle represents the quiet, still centre within oneself that our programs help our participants find so they can dive off from the L – the platform our Skillsbank program amongst other social impact initiatives provides our alumni – to create overlapping ripples of positive impact achieved by and with their fellow alumni to improve and enhance our community.
