What is the Leadership WA Skillsbank Program?
Leadership Western Australia’s Skillsbank Program works as a community partnership broker and is the organisations key community engagement strategy to benefit the state of Western Australia. The program invites not-for-profit organisations across the state to register leadership-related needs, and finding LWA members with relevant interests and skills to meet the needs pro-bono. We invite you to consider whether your organisation has at present any particular needs to which LWA may be able to respond.
Who are LWA Members?
Members, or ‘LWA Fellows’, are high potential leaders from the corporate, public, and not for profit sectors who have completed the LWA one year Community Leadership Development Program, and as a result make a commitment to ongoing community service involvement to assist not for profits in Western Australia.
Details of members are available in the LWA Year Book, with the 2010 Year Book soon to be published. In late 2011, an organisational IT upgrade will enable ‘Fellows Profiles’ to be accessed through an interactive database. This will increase Leadership WA’s ability to efficiently match your needs to the right member/s, in the shortest possible time.
Has Skillsbank made a difference?
By harnessing the leadership skills of the members of Leadership Western Australia, Skillsbank has been able to contribute over 4200 hours of community service and over 4000 hours of contribution to boards and committees throughout Western Australia.
