The Leadership Western Australia, Community Leadership Development Program is unlike other leadership program in WA. It assists graduates to create a network of competent leaders who are well informed about the major challenges for Western Australia, and aims to enhance community and personal leadership capacity within the state. The one year program exposes participants to a range of issues experienced across Western Australia, and equips them with a greater appreciation of the community leadership challenges experienced in the not for profit community sector, and increased ability to contribute to the benefit of the state.

All program participants make a commitment prior to commencing the LWA Community Leadership Development Program, to increase their engagement through pro bono community service with the wider community upon completion of the program year. Upon graduation, they join the alumni group known as Fellows of Leadership WA. Skillsbank Program offers the expertise of these Fellows as a community resource. This group of high-potential emerging leaders is drawn from public, private and not-for-profit organisations. Each year the total number of members / Fellows able to make a public-spirited commitment will be increasing, and in 2011 there are 209 graduates of the LWA Community Leadership Development Program who now contribute to the community via Skillsbank, and available to assist you.

Each Yearbook produced by Leadership WA includes details of members and Fellows, this shares the skills and expertise they offer to the community. You can download a Yearbook from the About LWA Section of our website. Alternatively you can contact the Community Engagement Manager (community@leadershipwa.org.au) to access a hardcopy to identify people who may be able to assist your organisation.
