Mr David Rose, COO, St Barbara Limited

David Rose is Chief Operating Officer of gold miner, St Barbara Limited.

David has previously held other senior executive roles in the resources sector including a period as an independant consultant. Previous to this he was Chief Operating Officer, Rio Tinto Iron Ore, after having served two years as Managing Director of Argyle Diamonds. He has extensive prior management experience with underground and open cut mines, working for Pasminco, CRA and Western Mining Corporation.

David completed a BE Hons degree in Mining at the University of Queensland and then, as a Rhodes Scholar, completed a BA Hons in Politics, Philosophy & Economics at Oxford University. He is a fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy, a member of the Christchurch Grammar School Council, a founding member of the Gija Total Health Support Group and a Graduate of the AICD.
