Our Alumni

Leadership WA Alumni are a strong and influential network of today’s and tomorrow’s leaders, making real and meaningful difference in the community. Alumni are regularly invited to exclusive events featuring the most experienced and insightful leaders in the State. In 2018, Alumni heard from Richard Goyder AO, Chairman of Woodside; Christina Matthews, CEO, WACA; US Consul General Rachel Cooke; The Hon Chief Justice Wayne Martin AC; and Dale Alcock.

Alumni are also invited to further professional development opportunities, including the Alumni Masterclass series. These events and network are an invaluable asset, ensuring Alumni continue to grow, exchange ideas, and foster a diverse and inclusive leadership community.

Leadership WA Alumni give back to the community through Skillsbank, an initiative, that matches Alumni skills to the strategic capacity building need of community and not-for-profit organisations and projects.

Alumni can also assist in making Leadership WA Programs and Courses more accessible by contributing to scholarship funds through the Leadership WA Foundation.

Leadership WA Alumni Regional Grant

At Leadership WA, we strive to make our Programs accessible to candidates in all regions of Western Australia. Unfortunately, logistical challenges make it difficult for applicants in regional areas to attend our Programs.

For this reason, we have established the Alumni Regional Grant. Through our partners and donations from Alumni, we have raised $3,000 to provide the means for regional applicants to travel to and from Perth so they can participate in our Programs!

This creates a fantastic opportunity for regional Western Australia to develop its own leadership community.

Please note donations to the Grant are tax deductible, and you will receive a tax invoice upon submission.

Eligibility and grant inclusions

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have applied, been interviewed and accepted into either our Signature Leadership Program or Rising Leadership Program and reside in regional/rural Western Australia. The applicant will be required to provide evidence of living in a rural/regional area, a minimum of three hours drive from Perth.
  • The grant is open to Australian citizens and permanent residents
  • Selection is based on demonstrated financial need or hardship associated with travel required to attend Program experiences.

Grant inclusions

  • The Grant value will be provided on successful completion of the Program (including attendance) and on provision of evidence of travel expenses up to the stated value of the grant. Evidence is considered to be receipts for petrol, flights and purchased accommodation.
  • The Grant cannot be used to fund the Program.
  • This Grant is generously provided by Leadership WA Alumni
