Skillsbank

Leadership WA is a catalyst for change. We transform leaders into influencers who inspire and motivate others to achieve great things. Our immersive programs instil courage, skills and tenacity in our leaders, giving them the powerful potential to lead transformational social change in their organisations, local and global communities.

Through Skillsbank, Alumni volunteer their time, skills and leadership for board appointments, mentoring, and project advisory support (including business development, strategy development, consultation, and facilitation). These contributions serve members of community most in need, including not-for-profit organisations, outreach groups, youth initiatives and elder care providers.

Over the last 20 years, Leadership WA Alumni have committed hundreds of thousands of hours of their time and expertise to community-based not-for-profits through our Skillsbank initiative. Research has also shown that for every hour of Skillsbank volunteer work contributed, our Alumni give an additional 7 hours of their own chosen community work.

Participants on Leadership WA’s Rising Leadership Program undertake a 6-month Community Impact Project which supports not for profits who require expertise and resources outside their organisation’s capacity. These larger scope projects vary from developing a business model, identifying how best to attract more members and supporters, to helping a not for profit identify how they could best market themselves in the community.

Not-for-profit organisations our Alumni have helped include:
