Signature Leadership Program

The Signature Leadership Program is Leadership WA’s flagship Program.

Aimed at high performing senior leaders, Signature will stretch you intellectually and personally as you develop your own courageous, powerful, and authentic leadership. By understanding your strengths, motivators, and resilience, you will learn how to maximise your effectiveness as a leader in both your organisation and within the State.

Set over the course of a year, participants have unique and privileged access to Western Australian’s most experienced and insightful leaders across private, community and government sectors.

The Signature Leadership Program is for senior professionals from the corporate, government, small business and not-for-profit sectors looking to expand and enhance their capacity to be an influential leader in their organisation and the broader community.

When selecting our program participants, we gather together diversity of thought, industries and experience to create a rich learning environment. Featured speakers at the Signature Leadership Program have included:

Our Leadership Programs embrace the use of reflective learning. This approach to learning encourages participants to examine their personal experiences, the experiences of their cohort and the experiences of the many highly influential external speakers who contribute throughout the Program. This approach ensures relevance, boosts self-confidence, and increases personal growth whilst challenging participants to question and critically assess their deeply-held assumptions and how they relate to the wider world.

In 2015 Murdoch University conducted a study with Leadership WA to assess the effectiveness of this approach. The study found that the Signature Leadership Program acts as both a compass, navigating participants into new self-discoveries; and a beacon which participants can use to negotiate their inner discoveries. Through this reflective approach to leaning, Leadership WA Programs increase leadership wisdom, and graduates become better leaders in their organisations and the community, contributing their skills to building the capacity of others.

The Signature Leadership Program takes participants on a journey of self-awareness, self-mastery, and exposure to the dynamic issues facing Western Australia.

Participants explore leadership through dialogue with a range of inspirational leaders who candidly share insights to their own experiences and challenges. Participants also share stories, difficulties and solutions with peers from a diverse range of sectors, backgrounds and industries.

These scholarships will enable participants to develop stronger leadership skills and capabilities to reinvest back into their local communities. This will create even further positive impact upon regional WA and Aboriginal communities and businesses. In addition, their experiences, skills and cultural insights will educate and develop their fellow cohort members, building further shared understandings.
